"Fix" is one of many aliases of Orlando Voorn (Amsterdam, 1968), Dutch DJ and producer, also known under names such as Basic Bastard, Frequency, Baruka or The Nighttripper. Voorn was one of the first European producers to establish an active connection with the Detroit scene, collaborating with pioneers of Detroit techno such as Juan Atkins, Derrick May and Blake Baxter. The Ignitor label, on which this record is released, is precisely the Detroit label linked to Voorn.
